Praise

“A truly gripping and profound spiritual journey. Sue Montgomery takes readers to the very edge of life, where all the noise fades and Final Moment asks the only questions that matter. Her concept is genius, delivering a dramatic tale of regret and redemption through the eyes of a troubled teen. This book doesn't just tell a story; it challenges you to examine your own life and the choices that define it."

– Katie Vorreiter, author No Turning Back and Fifty Days

“Sue Montgomery delivers a profoundly moving and emotionally resonant story about how our choices shape us, how our most fragile moments can transform us, and how God’s mercy finds us in the most unexpected places. Final Moment is a story that will linger long after the last page.”

– Ashley Schwartz, Literary Editor

"Montgomery's heartfelt stories and vivid writing reflect the author’s deep nursing experience and unique compassion gleaned from her many up-close end-of-life experiences in the critical care and hospice settings."

I can’t begin to express what it means to be able to read those highlights now. While everything she highlighted in her own Bible is a treasure, those highlights in mine feel like...

3 Ways Hospice and Palliative Care Are Different I’m both a former hospice

I’m both a former hospice nurse and a former family caregiver, so raising awareness about the benefits of hospice and palliative care is a passion of mine — which is why I continue to write and share about these topics in a variety of ways.

When my mom’s health started a steep decline toward the end of her life, hospice wasn’t yet an option for a variety of reasons. Though I was able to provide most of her care, she still needed to see a doctor on a regular basis. With her mobility a growing...
